This is my last year of highschool and I've always wanted to be a t.v host for shows like entertainment tonight or TRL. I know I have some big dreams but this is the only thing i could imagine myself doing. And everyone says I'd be the perfect t.v host because i love to talk and i'm very outgoing. I know that i cant just graduate from college and expect to get a job like that but what are the steps i need to take and what courses should i take in college?

Most of them seem to be model/actresses. I would imagine that theater or communications would be the best things to study.

Go for a degree in Communications or journalism. Do your internship at a TV channel/network or newspaper. Learn to write well. Get as much experience as possible learning to make presentations in front of an audience. Network by meeting people in that business. Many opportunities arise because someone knew someone, who knew someone else. You won't typically see those job openings in the newspaper. Stay well-informed about trends and everything that is going on around the country and the world by reading a lot. Keep yourself well-groomed and attractive since TV is a visual medium and your looks do count, probably as much as your ability.

I'm guessing for hosting a TV show you would want some background in acting (for things like projecting your voice, ect.) and you'd probably want to study public speaking, maybe even public relations?
