The Juilliard School is the premiere conservatory of the arts in the United States and possibly the world.

It's not the place I'd expect to learn to be a vet -- a great concert pianist or a prima ballerina but not a vet. Now, you could study acting there and convincingly pretend to be a vet. :-)

The Julliard School is a conservatory - much different from an academic institution. Its primary focus is to prepare students to work in the performing arts: music, dance, theater. It is considered the BEST for what they do in the US and can even be considered amongst the top 10 in the world.

If you are wanting to pursue a career as a performer, training at this institution almost always guarantees you a place as soon as you leave. Some of the greatest performers to graduate from Juliard include: Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Christopher Reeves.

It is extremely competitive to get into. Only about 25 students per discipline are admitted each year. Most entrants come from performing arts high schools.

My parents went there...it is an excelent college. It is for the performing arts, so if you want to major in music, dance, or anything related, its a great place to go. It is extremely competitive...and dead hard to get into. But it is like the Princton or Harvard of performing art schools. An excelent school.

It is excellent. It's one of the most prestigious music schools in the world.

ETA: Is it good for people who want to become a vet? No. Nope. It's a music conservatory. It's good for people who want to become high-level musicians.
