The first thing you do is learn to spell.....or the whole essay will be in vain. For instance....the word is 'elite'....not elight. Spelling and grammar are of the utmost importance if your application is to be considered.

First and foremost, you need to use proper spelling and grammar. Capitalization of words starting a sentence is super important also! You might want to practice by resubmitting your question here with the proper spellings, punctuation, and grammar. If you're not sure how to do that, then let me help you.
How do you write an admission essay to an elite university, like NYU? What kind of things do you include in it? Do you relate life experiences, like if you've had a fascinating life, like lived through a war or something?
Trust me, this grammar thing is far more important than the topic of the essay alone. If you cannot show that you know how to spell and write well enough, your application will be tossed in the garbage!

As far as I'm concerned, you have to convey an aspect of you as a person to the admissions committee. Your experience in a war, if worked properly, could make a great essay for NYU...
PS: i guess you wanted to put "elite" and not "elight"... I'm not a native English speaker so i might be wrong.. but.. anyway.. its strange...
GO FOR NYUUUUUUU !!!!! , GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't pretend to be someone you're not. The people who read these essays know how to discern real from fake. Be honest, be yourself, be confident, use proper spelling and grammar, use the correct format for essays (five paragraphs) and, most importantly, do your best! Good luck!!!

Generally, there is a prompt which tells you what they want to know. You can write about your fascinating life if the prompt suggests that it is what they want to know about.
