I'm a junior in high school and plan on going to NYU. But, I want a Masters Degree in Physchology and a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy. What would I do for my major and minor to still get good degrees for the two and keep them equally balanced? I plan to be a physchologist for quite a few years and then just go on to being a pharmacist when I'm older and just chillax from there. How should I plan this out to where I could still get good jobs in both?

I have 3 classes left until I graduate from with my bachelors degree. At first, I was so motivated, studied a good portion of everyday and, as expcted, recieved very good grades. Although my grades are still what most would love to have, I have slacked off quite a bit. I can't focus anymore. I feel lazy and unmotivated. This week I have no classes b/c of winter break. I have 2 papers due next Monday, 1 is a research paper. I can't find it within myself to do them. I have been procrastinating and finding other, less important things to do.

Why, so close to graduating, am I feeling this way? Why can't I focus long enough to do what is expected of me? I'm feeling down on myself b/c I am capable of doing these papers and doing them well, but I just "can't" for some reason. What can I do? Perhaps I just need a little motivation. Any advice?

Columbia is my ultimate dream school. Do they look for anything specifically that may help me get in? I know that schools like Duke focus on the arts; what would help me get into Columbia?

Here are the details: I want to go to UCLA, but my GPA is kind of low. I have two choices this summer: 1) take 2-3 classes at a community college to raise my GPA (currently a 3.4 weighted... but I'm 90% sure that it will be a 3.6 weighted at the end of this school year) or 2) do this summer program where I research about my ancestry along with 12 other students and in the summer we go to each other's villages in China. I think that the China intern program will work well in my personal statement because since I'm a 4th generation Chinese, I can talk about cultural gap and such. But I think GPA is more important because it's not that high. My SAT scores are decent... ~2000. And I'm taking 3 AP classes right now, and I might only take 2 of them. So with this information provided, what do you think I should do? Raise my GPA or take that summer intern program? Im a Junior in Highschool by the way. Please answer ASAP because I'll need to tell the summer intern program about my decision. Thx

I've heard that if you have ok grades but you're very active in clubs and sports you can get into a good university.

But what if you have good grades but are not very involved in school activities? Would it be harder to get into a good school than if you have ok grades and are very involved?

I guess my questions is, which one's more important, grades of extracurricular activities?

I know I've asked this question already but I would like more opinons ^-^

I'm planning on becoming an anesthesiologist, and I was told never to major in premed because employers wont hire you since you're not going to stay with them, and it's basically worth nothing. So, premed is out of the question. I was thinking in majoring in biology, but maybe A&P if it's even offered...
