Many excellent undergraduate colleges are in the same universities as excellent medical colleges. But they are not connected. You cannot take courses in the medical school if you are an undergraduate, and being from the undergraduate college does not get you admission to the med school. So whether a university has a med school or not doesnt have anything to do with the quality of the undergraduate education. So, in the case of Arizona you have a pretty ordinary gigantic undergraduate state university attached to a good quality medical school.

Some very distinguished undergraduate colleges that are in the same universities as medical schools are: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Duke, Johns Hopkins, UNC, UVA, UCalifornia, etc

The best medical school in the entire country also resides in some of the most beautiful country in America. I didn't go there, but I have met plenty of people who have and they are king's of medicine, not the least of whom is a guy named Jarvik, that's right, Mr. Artificial Heart. I'm talking about the University of Arizona in Tucson.
