you can always stash some ram-en noodles away (even though they get real old really fast... as in you'll get sick of em), also chef boyardee has some little microwavable meals, hamburger helper does also, mac n cheese, just add water to the latter two.
Keep lunch meat, bread, pb&jelly handyas well. If you are feeling really creative you can make a grilled cheese sandwich by putting the cheese (or other fixins) between two pieces of bread and then wrapping them in a paper towell and "grilling" them with an iron. Two minutes each side and wa'lahh fab-o-los!
Also you can take little ziploc baggies with you to the caf and stuff away things like chicken and hotdogs (may not be the best but at least it's free and it's fun) (technically it's not free....)

You could try a crockpot. I love them, and I have two. You can even leave it on while you go somewhere else. Here's how I make crockpot red beans and rice:
Soak your bag of red kidney beans overnight in water in the pot with the power off. Next morning, drain the beans and then turn the crockpot on high for about 30min to heat up. Put sausage, onions, green pepper, celery in the hot crock pot and put the lid on, stirring ever so often, until your onions turn clear and the sausage is browned. Then add your drained beans back in with about 3 cups of chicken broth, a bay leaf, salt and pepper, garlic powder and plenty of cajun seasoning. Put the lid on it until it boils, then turn the heat down to low and you can leave it alone for up to four hours and it will cook everything just perfectly. You can eat them as soon as the beans are soft enough to make a nice red broth and you are okay with their texture. Most crocks have a warm setting too which will just keep it hot until you're ready to eat it.
For the rice, you can make Minute Rice in the microwave. There are directions on the box. Add a loaf of french bread and you have enough beans to last a few days even. Hope you like this.

Cookies!, small packages of lunch meat, buy a sandwhich maker they are usually very cheap, and make grilled cheese, also try buying canned pie filling adding sugar and putting it in bread then use the sandwhich maker as normal, they taste just like pies. Soups, pasta mixes such as Lipton Alfredo nooodles are also microwaveable.

popcorn, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, ramen noodles, fruit, canned vegetables, cereal.
When I was in school we had a community kitchen. I bought a foreman grill and was able to make hamburgers and grilled chicken sandwiches.
