At least thats what a 3rd grade teacher I was observing said to her students. To be more precise she was positive Washington D.C was a state. I am a student teacher and didnt want to be rude so I politely said in the form of a question "I think Washington D.C is part of Maryland. She conversed with 2 colleagues one of which said D.C isnt a state, but is part of Virginia, the other wasnt sure if it was a state.... God, why am I studying to be a teacher? Are all my colleagues going to be as dumb as them?

I went to a community college a while back and I only went for three weeks. I was completely unhappy with the college so I dropped out. They are saying I owe them two thousand dollars now. I feel that is unfair and would like to talk to someone about it. Does anyone know who I should address a letter? I got the Deans name, would that work?

I don't have a problem with it...I love kids, but I just wonder why they do it.

I understand if I've just done something nice for them or if they haven't seen me in awhile, but sometimes I'll be explaining an assignment to them, or reading a story, or sitting at my desk grading papers, and they just come up and hug me.

Why? Is it that they're not getting attention at home? Again, I don't mind it, just wondering why. I'm a first year teacher with no children of my own.

I have been working in HR for 10 years and have received a B.S. in Bus. Admin w/ a minor in HR. I am now one credit away from earning an MBA and was told that receiving an bachelor's degree and an MBA in bus. admin would be foolish. Would it be foolish of me to obtain a degree in the same field.

Ok I am in highschool and interested in pursueing a career in the culinary arts. Last year I was writing essays twice a week or so, but this year I've got a total block - I still haven't handed in any work at all because I just can't start the essays, and I have five or so due in, and I know what I want to write in the middle, but it's the intro I'm having problems with...

I am a retired College Teacher. I did guide/coach many students without taking any FEES.I did support many students by providing with plenty of Books which they needed, but, most of them did not return those copies ,although , it was a precondition to give back all these Books to me as soon as the exams were over for the benefit of other students.I did pay the Monthly Fees of many students throughout my career as Teacher.
I retired on 31st may,2004 when I was 60 years of age as per Teaching Service Rules of my state.
No pensionary benefit is available to Teachers of this State ,except a token lump sum of Rupees Two Lak (max).I did recieve that amount and now I am 62 + with which I survived so far.
I have no Apartment , no regular source of income and I have been suffering from Hypertension; Hyper acidity; Insomnia;Diabetes & mentally terribly upset . I find no hope to earn money through any means at this age to support my wife who is not keeping well.
HELP PLEASE.....
