I was born with moderate or mild autism. In my culture (I'm Chinese), any type of disability isn't accepted. It is the norm for kids to excel in all academic areas. So my parents verbal abused me for years that damaged me emotionally. They never got me help with autism that they only focused on molding me to become a prodigy or at least a highly academic girl. They made me feel so guilty for making their lives unfortunate because I couldn't reached to their expectations.

I feel like I'm the only person with learning disabilities born to parents that aren't loving or accepting towards me while others seem to have such a loving family.

So any of you with learning disabilites that have been abused by your parents for the condition that you never chose to be born with? Feel free to share.

I have a chemistry pre-ap class, which is the hardest class I have ever taken. I'm a junior, last year regular biology was too easy but a lot of kids really pissed me off. In a AP or pre-ap class there's laughs here and there but everyone's hardworking.
What would help?
Chemistry for dummies?
Any other books?
I have a 90 right now plus weighted points that would be a 100.
I'm afraid that will be short lived for my luck almost always seems tor run out in that class.
I don't want to go to regular, all the kids in there steal tubes fly paper airplanes with the exceptions of a few.

You know, the kind that typically go below your name on emails -- those are what I'm looking for. Actually, a friend of mine is looking for quotes like that to compile for a book he's writing, so I need who wrote it or said it as well. Attribution is necessary for publication & to get selected as Best Answer to my question.

In order for originals written by you to be published in the book, your real name is necessary -- so, if U prefer, U may use your handle or nickname here, & then send me an email with your quote & real name if U don't want to post it here, (I understand fully). U can email me off the link tied to my profile page, just be sure to include your quote & name together. Thanks!

OK, my favorite quote lately has been:

“Life is ‘good’ because God gave it to you.
Make the most of that talented gift & share
it with others every chance you get!”
--(I can't find the original quote/author & I adapted it to make it mine).

Now what's yours?

Minus the paycheck.

And please be creative with answering this because I have already thought of common moral lessons that [rarely] happens in Real life like...

-Because she realizes that from her class there could be more proffesions that will eventually come out of her students and that she is the one who is guiding them into that proffesion.

-Because, she sees her students graduate and feel that all her suffering is rewarded, somehow.

-Et cetera.

+ I've already started her character. She is an architecture student who didn't finish her course because she keeps on failing it yet she likes the course but since she's been draining out her parent's money, she decides to transfer to education and became a teacher to help payback her parent's money. She hates being a teacher. She doesn't like the paper work and all the attitude of her students since they make a lot of noise. Now, she wonders why do some people likes [to be] being a teacher?

*Please be detailed A.S.M.P.

I know you have to go to law school, but what happens before that? I don't even know if its what I want to do, the criminal aspect seems boring, but the business and tax aspect seems pretty cool...

I went to college before and failed out, but I'm a lot different than I was back then. Can I just start from scratch again at a new school if I don't want any credits to transfer, or do I have to let them know anyway?

Lastly, what does someone major in. I was thinking Political Science... Or would I need to go with criminal justice?

A teacher reprimanded my 5 yr old for playfully kicking her sister after school. According to my daughter in HS,the teacher was nose to nose and toe to toe with my 5 yr old while yelling and pointing. My HS daughter tried to remove my 5 yr old from the hostile situation when the teacher touched both of my daughter's and snatched their hands apart. My 5 yr old was 'bout in tears. I requested a meeting, documentation of the purpose of the meeting, and an apology. The Principal promised to take care of this and has failed. I now get the run around and or she's too busy. I am in the process of writing a letter to the Superintendant or should I address the board?
This happened a month ago and last night my 5 yr old daughter said to me, "I'm still mad at that teacher for yelling at me, I want God to punish her." It bothers me too. I feel my children were violated and I wasn't there to protect them. The school encourages respect, responsilbility, being safe and kind. NOT! What should I do?

I have asked this question before but many people got me wrong, so please read carefully and tell me what to do:

I like this guy very much, he was once a guest professor in one of my classes and was so sweet.
But he is NOT my professor, so this has nothing to do with grades.
He's under 30, doing his PhD and I'm 24 and a serious graduate student, so there's really no age difference. He's younger than many of my classmates!
He's not married and he has said that to me himself in a departmental gathering.

This is not a schoolgirl crush, we're both adults and Im looking for a serious relationship, because he's smart and sweet and our major is the same.
Just want some advice on how it might look since we're in the same department and tips on approaching him in a way that doesn't make him uncomfortable.

I'm 16 and i took an IQ test and i'm 133, It says that I'm Gifted, Which is one step below Genius, And my question is, Even though it's 133, Is that only for that specific IQ test? Or do some test's go to 200 or possibly 300? Because i've never looked into IQ test's until now, And i got gifted, So i though i'd take some more tests if i could get more points.

I have a crush on this professor in the department, he is NOT my professor, he teaches undergraduate. Is it okay to date a professor if they're not "your" professor? How do I know if it's against the university guidelines, or it's the same in all universities?

And how do I approach him?
