Not foolish, but perhaps you might have done better to have gotten your bachelor's degree in something else. Be that as it may, it is too late to change anything right now, and you are better off with the MBA than without it.

The MBA degree was originally intended for those who began their educations in other fields. An engineer or scientist or English major, who found him/herself working in business, needed the additional knowledge about business to be able to progress to the next level. That is one of the reasons why most MBA programs require no prior business knowledge and begin with a set of common core classes. About 20 years ago, we started seeing a big influx of students with undergraduate business degrees entering the programs. They either insisted on waiving most of the courses, or complained that there wasn't much value-added from the degree. That was because the degree wasn't really intended for them! Many schools have had to drastically change their curricula to accommodate these students, and it has led to the downgrading of the MBA in some cases to quickie programs with little power to transform the students.

Of course, many companies now require the MBA (just as the minimum level of required education has moved up in most fields) where the bachelor's in business used to be acceptable, so the MBA has become a necessity for many. Finish your MBA. Another master's degree would not have helped you more. In hindsight, another bachelor's might have been a good idea, but it is too late to change that.

There is nothing foolish about getting a higher degree (MBA) in the same field.. By getting a higher degree you'll be able to update yourself with new development in the field of business management. Most university lecturers (professors) have three degrees (Bachelor's, Master's and PhD) in the same field. Studying for higher degrees (Masters, PhD) involves various learning methods: case studies, own research, literature review, critical analysis etc which may not be widely used at the undergraduate level..
