the word rise is usually associated with going up. Sometiems going from one point on the graph does not invelve in rise and a run but a fall and a run. Describe how you could select points so that it is always a rise from the first point to the second point?

i applied to east carolina university and they sent me a letter back saying that i need to retake my SATs and send them my semester grades. i have a 2.9 gpa and my SAT score was a 900 something.

so are they giving me a second chance or do do they do this to everyone? what does it mean???

I've tried tutoring kids online before, and it's gone badly.

Not because of me-- I put hours of work into it, but the kids I tutor eventually show me their pictures and ask if they're hot, or find out I'm Jewish and tell me that they hope Hitler burns me.

Is there anyone out there who will NOT do these things, and really wants to LEARN?

I'd love to tutor in Math, Science, English, or Spanish. I'm in the 10th grade, so I can teach anyone at that level or below. I got As last year and I have been this year so far too, and I take four honors classes in a competitive school...

my previous junior high has banned me from their schoool and all others in my district because i coincidently sent them an unthreatining email on the day of the amish school shootings. my parents are incouraging me to write a letter back to the school regarding the taxes we pay for that school. I'm going to work at a local newspaper that is written by students for students. This is just work experience and I don't get paid for it. I have an interview where I will need to give them a sample of my writing in the span of half an hour and I'm nervous about it. I'm usually above average when it comes to writing but when put on the spot, my writing usually slips...a lot.

Any tips on how to impress them and how to keep my focus?

Would a IQ of 122 qualify me for any good jobs? If so please list them. Consult me if you have any suggestions to improve IQ level.
Is a IQ test results very accurate? I took my tet on tickle.com. The website claims that the test it is using, is the "real test" used by professionals, and schools. Even if the Iq wouldn't qualify me for a good job, at least I dont have to work at Mcdonalds, right?

Could anyone help me know why the simplification of the expression 2 + 3(2x + 4) shown below is incorrect?? and if it is incorrect, what is the correct simplification??

Why is this Incorrect?

2 + 3(2x + x) = 5(2x + 4)
= 10x + 20

and if it is correct.. WHY it is correct?
