Sesame Street Live
The national touring company of Sesame Street Live (SSL) visted Seattle last year. The producers held a special promational ticket sale for one hour. During this time, adult tickets were $5, junior (age 8-12) tickets were $2, and children (age 0-3) were 10 cents. During this sale, 120 tickets sold for exactly $120. I'm reading about graduate students and there big accomplishments and stuff...but how do those people have a life outside their work. Most people I know would laugh at these nerdy people...not that I support that.

I guess what I'm asking is - -- is it better to give your life to knowledge and science than to live it up socially?

So this teacher of mine is ALWAYS picking on me. And its obvious. And he KNOWS he's doing it. Me and my friend (who's a girl) got out of our seats and he tells ME to sit down! Just me! And she keeps walking and he doesnt give a ****! He just doesnt like me and I dont like him and we both know that, but that doesnt mean he gets to take any excuse to get me in trouble!
And dont come back with some lame *** answer like "Be really good and THATLL show him!"
I want a real solution.
He says Im FLIRTING. Like every day he says "Oh stop flirting oh stop flirting" Which maybe I am a little but why should he care? Its not like I dont know the material I can write better than he can!

I'm teaching ESL in Beijing, China. I have a 12 year old student who is quite well versed in English but whose conversational level is not very high. I want to work, using as a vehicle for reading and discussion, INTERESTING OR EXCITING books that appeal to the younger teen age kids. I love the old classics, e.g. Tom Sawyer, but the language is generally too difficult and too antiquated for ESL learners.
CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND titles of some great popular interest books that meet this need. Thanks, TZ

I am 16 years old this year and i really want to know the way to study. I know that study is important for me but whenever i open the books then i will feel sleepy.
