Twice as long as it is from one to the middle! How did I do? This is the correct answer by the way.

For a bass guitar it is 35 inches long
For a crossbow it is about 33 3/4" long
For a regular bow it is about the length of the bow between the two string notches.

ANy other physical strings are probably for kites and about 100 feet long.
