I am conducting an anonymous survey to see if there is a relationship between smoking in high school, and grade point averages.

If you are in high school, and a smoker, I would REALLY appreciate if you could post your GPA below. This is for an assignment in my statistics class.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Dont you find it funny how every great proverb has a deeper meaning which will only be learned once you are victim to its teaching. I find that ironic as they are meant to warn us before we get hurt but instead we only learn the meaning afterwards!

I'm just wondering about the phrase, "Long Time, No See" used to convey a sense of extended lack of communication between people. Where did it originate, and to what does it owe its interesting construction?

"ed" in such cases? I can not find this in any books. I know they are called compound words but what excatly do they mean? Are they adjectives, or what? When to use them? How to explain this to the students? I teach ESL and never found this in books. Thanks a lot.

My father traveled out of town often and didn't want to leave me (16 years old) home alone for days at a time, he sent me to a Catholic Boarding school that also had day students. It was for girls only and it was also a convent with Nuns. The name was St.Yves AND also was called home of the Good Sheperd. I absolutely cannot find it anywhere on the internet, I even searched for it via satelite imagry. Does nayone know what became of this school or did anyone attend it?

I am in grade 9, standard 7, and our school is basically the only public school in the province (probably even the country) to be writing end of year exams. WHY? I was looking at a website on stress and i have every single one of the symptoms (there are about 20), and i do not see why the school feels the need to make us die early...GOSH!!

Please be patient and read! I don't know what to do! I'm desperate! I have a big problem related to school. Me and my family moved in another house in september. So obviously I changed my school, too, because it was to far away from our house. But the thing is that in the other school I moved from, my father teached there. So everyone knew I was his daughter and most of them didn't dare to say anything to me. And the teachers didn't treated me like any ordinary child, I mean... they didn't give me a small note if I didn't learn something that day, they would've forgive me and told me to learn for the next day or something like that. But when we moved withe the house and school... everything changed... Let me tell something first: I am a very shy person. But not like you imagine. No! You can't even imagine how shy I am! So it was something like that:
In the first day in my new school, I was so scared! I didn't knew how the teachers were going to be, or how the children will be.
