My father traveled out of town often and didn't want to leave me (16 years old) home alone for days at a time, he sent me to a Catholic Boarding school that also had day students. It was for girls only and it was also a convent with Nuns. The name was St.Yves AND also was called home of the Good Sheperd. I absolutely cannot find it anywhere on the internet, I even searched for it via satelite imagry. Does nayone know what became of this school or did anyone attend it?

St. Yves School
7000 N. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada

I searched the web for you and found this address. Alot of the sites are for seeing old class mates. But I looked under Las Vegas schools and St. Yves school in Las Vegas. There were several sites to search. I found one that had this address. Good luck to you. I also searched Good Shepard school and only found them in other states.

I lived at this school from 1986 to 1988. I do remember some of it from then. The principal's name was Oren Hampton. Some of the nuns that lived there: If I can remember the names: Sister Rose (she liked to sit at the pool with a handkerchief scarf and not the traditional clothing of a nun), Sister Andrew, Sister Madeline, Sister Carmen, and I think if I remember correctly, the church diosese was Xavier. I'd love to know what happened to this place after 1988; I google mapped it and all i see is a empty field nearly surrounded by houses. (Back in the time I was there, nothing was out that way at all). Any other help on this would be nice.

Write the vegas tourist counsil and ask if they have anything in the history of Vegas about this school. Also you could write the Nevada state board of education, they also might be able to help you with this and find out who was in charge of the school.
