Hi, my name is George Trinh. Here I have a question as follows: In the word "CANADA", if only 3 letters can be selected at one time to form a 3-letter word, the letter "A" can be repeated, and the 3-letter words do not need to have any meanings. How many different 3-letter words can be formed ? The correct answer is 34. But how can we prove, mathematically, by mathematic formula that the answer is equal to 34 ? Can anybody out there please kindly help me solve this problem ? Thanks a million in advance.
