I find this sentence contradictory. Having one's cards on the table signifies that a person is open and forthright. Displaying our cards means we have nothing else "up our sleeve".

Contrary to that, an "ace in the hole" refers to information which is not yet disclosed.

Therefore, to be open with full disclosure and yet to hold back additional information is contradictory.

2-7 is considered the worst hand given 11 blind hands delt out, but heads up, 2-3 is the worst hand. Niether are hands you want to be "all in with" but assumeing you are all in against and hand like aces, 2-3 becomes the better hand allowing u a higher probability to make a straight. So in essence its where you get your money in, but more often then not, 11 handed its 2-7, heads up its 2-3.
