I just can't understand this sequence. 1,1,2,3,5,8. What's the next term? I don't understand how 1 could be the first 2 numbers. Please help.

This sequence is known as the Fibonacci Sequence.

1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34, 55,89,144,233,377 this would continue until you want to stop. Now the trick to the Fibonacci sequence is that the next number is just the numbers added together.
1+1=2
1+2=3
2+3=5
3+5=8 You get the point.

2 + 3 = 5
3 + 5 = 8
