Looking for advise on the best place to eat in either Fort Bragg or Mendocino. It's a special occasion so money is no object. I know about The Cliff House, so don't mention that one. It's OK but not great. Thanks In Advance.

We are organising a work party and will have people from North West and North Wales area coming so need somewhere pretty central. We want somewhere we could get a meal first but that has entertainment later and a late bar with hotel accomodation close by. (For the Christmas party we went to Chicago Rock in Wigan but want to try somewhere new) Any ideas?

My soon-to-be husband and myself are heading to Washington D.C. and Philadelphia for our honeymoon next weekend. Does anyone have any reccomendations of where to eat? Our plans are to visit Arlington National Cemetary and some of the memorials in WDC, and then the Mutter Museum and Rodin Museum in Philly, so anywhere close to those places would be great.
We're not looking for anythign 5 star- we just want to really experience the best food from both places, even if it's just a mom-and-pop kind of place.
Oh- and if you know of any water-ice places near Philly that are already open this time of year, PLEASE enlighten me! I've been craving it since I left the area 4 years ago. There is nothing else around like true water-ice.
Thanks!

I've noticed this all of a sudden, it seems like restaurants are closed on Mondays everywhere I look. Why is this so? Is it some kind of traditional thing to be closed on a Monday? Not counting fast food places like Applebees and Ruby Tuesdays, all real restaurants seem to be closed on Mondays.

Trying to order a taco "with beans instead of meat, please" last night, I got a pile of BS from the three kids working there.

"We don't do that."

I wondered how I'd been managing to eat bean Taco Bell tacos for years.

"Well, we're not allowed to. The beans burn our hands."

Given the lukewarm temperature of Taco Bell beans, that was pretty risible (and what are you doing pawing at my beans, anyway? And is the meat cold or something?), but I did not want to play Grumpy Grown-Up and argue with three teen-agers making crap wages, especially not ten minutes before they closed. (There never seems to be anybody much over 16 in Taco Bells here.)

In the US I ran into a few TBs where a bean taco posed a bit of a mystery, but (1) that was a few years ago, and (2) they still managed to do it. This was in Canada; the Taco Bell Canada site says --

http://www.tacobell.ca/english/ourfood/vegetarian.html

...well, anyway. This isn't the death knell for Taco Bell for veggies, is it?

Hi I do really appreciate if you could suggest any kind of food type that potentially could be popular and sellable in Jakarta. I intend to open one around South Jakarta area. ^^
