We are organising a work party and will have people from North West and North Wales area coming so need somewhere pretty central. We want somewhere we could get a meal first but that has entertainment later and a late bar with hotel accomodation close by. (For the Christmas party we went to Chicago Rock in Wigan but want to try somewhere new) Any ideas?

How about Alderley Edge/ Prestbury/Wilmslow? So many choices here, and where many celebrities, famous footballers etc socialise!
There are alot of establishments here which are geared up to work parties, school reunions and so on.

How about the St Petersburg, a Russian restaurant? it's the only one in the UK outside London. It's off Duke Street in Liverpool, has a huge menu, and has entertainment after the meal - sometimes karaoke, sometimes singing & dancing. The food is great, and don't be put off if you're not sure what Russian food is like - they do so many dishes, and many of them are very normal to the traditional British palette! They also have loads of different vodkas at hte bar. It's cheaper if you go for a set meal. I had a great work night out here a couple of years ago.
The restaurant is on the edge of the city centre, so there are loads of hotels nearby for a range of budgets. And black cabs are plentiful in Liverpool and a good way to get around.
