I recently purchased a plasma screen TV. I have it hooked up with Cogeco Digital Cable (HD), and a surround sound system. When watching DVDs that don't fill the screen, or some channels with Digital Cable, there is a line either on the top or right of the screen (where the picture ends). It's distracting when watching a movie, and I'm curious if there's a way to fix this. The line is pink or white, and is part of the actual picture, it is dashed (- - - - - - -) and extends across the entire picture.

Is a plasma TV wall mount more than a LCD wall mount. How much should one cost in the store and how much should it cost on Ebay?

I've connected my freeview box via a scart lead, however when I connected it the TV went automatically to the right channel, yet there is just a black picture. Even if I turn my TV or freeview box off and on again, it just shows a black screen. My TV knows something is there but it's not showing freeview.

I've also lost my TV (not freeview) remote.

I have a 2 year old Sanyo HDtv. After it has been on for 30 minutes the color starts to turn to a purple-ish/blue. I think it might be a voltage regulator, but I was wondering if anyone knew any better. I am really not sure and don't know about realigning the picture tube or whatever it is called. Could that be the cause? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

There's always a 1-2 inch border on the left and right sides and sometimes there's a complete square border. I have changed the settings in my PS2 setup screen to 16:9 and I've tried Full Screen mode too.

Also.. While playing "Black" today my sony receiver did not pick up the games Dolby Prologic II encoding on AUTO mode. I have the connections correct and it's hooked up (and selected on the receiver) through the optical out.

i've just lost one of best friends a few weeks back. i was study before this. i had to stop that, for a bit. i'm seriously thinking about cutting of ties with some people including friends. i'm fed up of being pushed around. especially by women. how can you tell women, to stop playing games. i had a really good christmas. i enjoyed it the best i could. when you loss a friend, who you have had a twenty years relationship with, how long do you need to grieve. i did have plans, should i continue with those. i've known family, aunties and unces, that have died. this is the first time a friend has died. do i need to explain to people, why i'm behaving in a emotionally way. should keep my head down. i could use some friendly company.

Both cable and satellite look too pricey and carry more than I am interested in. Not to mention I am looking at, for the family, 6 tv's and 3 recorders. Once the FCC cuts off analog signals how can I continue to use over the air signals without purchasing all new gear? Are there adapters, tuners or some type of converter I can get?

I have samsung 32" LCD HDTV LNS3251D. (i bought it 1100 dollar, new and it's already with tax).
It supports 480 - 720p and 1080i.

My Question:
Am i getting a good deal?

Is there a big difference between 1080i and 1080p?
What are the differences?
Is it noticeable?
Is it gonna matter for 32" tv?
When i have option, should i make my tv settings to 1080i or 720p
instead?

sorry for too many questions..
I am a newbie for HDTV.

Thanks so much guys.
