There's always a 1-2 inch border on the left and right sides and sometimes there's a complete square border. I have changed the settings in my PS2 setup screen to 16:9 and I've tried Full Screen mode too.

Also.. While playing "Black" today my sony receiver did not pick up the games Dolby Prologic II encoding on AUTO mode. I have the connections correct and it's hooked up (and selected on the receiver) through the optical out.

I have the ps2 conneted w/ a psyclone s-video cable.

It's usually a function of the game--some games simply aren't widescreen.

Also, how are you connecting to your TV? A component connector would probably do a better job than a composite one; perhaps your TV just doesn't allow for widescreen composite connections from a PS2.

you must change the settimg for input within ur lcd menu
and now connect ur device ps 2 u will view it on full screeen
or else try change ur menu personal settings within ur play station
