I have a 2 year old Sanyo HDtv. After it has been on for 30 minutes the color starts to turn to a purple-ish/blue. I think it might be a voltage regulator, but I was wondering if anyone knew any better. I am really not sure and don't know about realigning the picture tube or whatever it is called. Could that be the cause? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Your model is a CRT TV, so chances are that trevorgl is right on the money--you might have a powerful magnet (like from a set of loudspeakers) sitting too close to your TV.

If turning the set on and off a few times dont fix it-(it demagnetizes itself each time you turn it on cold)...then a repair shop can use a degaussing coil tool to manually remove the discoloration...its just a coil that plugs into the wall ,and cancells the magnetism buildup.

I know this may sound simple but -have you placed a large speaker close to the screen? If so move it farther away because the magnetic field from the speaker can affect older screens.
