I've connected my freeview box via a scart lead, however when I connected it the TV went automatically to the right channel, yet there is just a black picture. Even if I turn my TV or freeview box off and on again, it just shows a black screen. My TV knows something is there but it's not showing freeview.

I've also lost my TV (not freeview) remote.

You need to finetune in the box, there is an option to finetune the settings if that doesn't work then try tuning the actual tv if still no luck then your aerial may not be strong enough

Your not like me are you, having to swap wires around here, there and everywhere? Make sure nothing else is hooked up, that might be it. Other than that, I would take it back and ask for a new one.

Yes, do what the Fonz says or put it on AV1.
