I am moving to Rio de Janeiro and I have received conflicting information regarding this question. Even on Yahoo answers I have seen a reply that said it would NOT work but then another person in another question states that they live in Brazil and it DOES work... Can someone who has moved from the US to Brazil please answer this? Thanks!

I have a 4 year old Sony HD rear projection TV. It has developed a slight shadow (ghost) to the right of most images. It seems to me that a callibration may be in order but I'm not sure if this is so and how to fix it without calling a technician. Any ideas?

My little brother broke my LCD TV just a while ago, the picture does not seem to be "very damaged", but it does have around 15 dead pixels in the area of the hit, i do not know if it will broaden or if it will stay like that forever, should i repair?, should i trash it?

I bought a plasma wides screen TV expecting to see a full screen when I watched "wide screen' movies. To my dismay, I still have to suffer with the "letter box' look. what the heck is going on? Aren't the new TVs shaped wide so the movies will fill the screen? I have tried changing all the settings and screen ratios etc. but nothing fixes it. What is the deal with this?

I've just bought HDMI-to-DVI cable to connect my set-top box (Time Warner) to my HDTV (Sharp Aquos 32"), but unfortunately that message ("Your...HDCP") appears so I can't change channels (frozen to last channel I tuned).

I don't have any recorders (such as DVR or Tivo) or any other instruments (Home Theater, A/V Receiver, etc). I only have TV, set-top box, & PS2. I'm pretty sure that my TV is HDCP Compliant since I read my TV's manual book mentions about HDCP thing.

I hooked up a new dvd recorder to my television with the composite cables that were included with it. I was able to set up the dvd recorder and I can even scheduel when I want programs to record. the problem I am having is that whenever I put a dvd into the slot and then close it the dvd player does not read the disk or say that it is loading on the tv. it opens back up and gives me the disk back . Is there something else that I need to get it to work properly or do I need a new dvd recorder?

We recently purchased an impressive 26" wide-screen Bush HD-ready TV ( Model: IDLCD26TV05HD).

We have managed to connect it to our DVD, VCR video and satellite box for Sky. Everything is working fine and we can tape record programmes on all our analogue (terrestial) and satellite (sky) channels

BUT how can we record video tapes on this digital television from the digital channel? There is no separate digi-box. The digital channels are in-built into the TV. We have scart leads connecting each of these items but just cannot locate the digital channels on our video set up ? I have even tried addition jack connections but this did not work either.

Can anyone advice me how we can tape the digital channels on to our VCR?

Thanks

We want to take a TV to Nigeria which uses the PAL system but as far as I know has no plans for going digital. It may happen that we accidentally take a digital with us (or more likely the model we like is digital) Would a digital model work? Is there any way of making it work if it doesn't?
Thanks
