It's about time. This year, along with satellite radios, we add HDTVs to the mix. And, as you might expect, readers rate all sorts of vendors offering all sorts of HD technologies, from plasma TVs and rear-projections to good ol' CRTs. But two companies stand out: Pioneer and Sony.
If you look at the overall scores across all technologies, Pioneer is king, with a significantly above-average overall score of 9.0 out of 10. This has a lot do with the fact that readers prefer plasmas to all other HD technologies. Pioneer is one of the biggest plasma vendors, and it's the lone Readers' Choice for this segment of the market, with a 9.1 out of 10. It's also the Readers' Choice for rear-projection TVs, with an 8.7.
In the big picture, across all technologies, Sony is just behind Pioneer, with an overall score of 8.5, and it receives a Readers' Choice award for CRTs (8.4), and LCDs (8.6). Readers also shared their experiences with front-projection TVs, but Sony was the only vendor rated. And because Sony received only 50 responses in total, a Readers' Choice in that niche category will have to wait until next year.
Pioneer
No one comes close. Pioneer garners the highest overall score. The company comes out ahead on rear-projection TVs and, in particular, plasmas.
Sony
Looking for an LCD model—or even a good old CRT? Look to Sony. And Sony's scores are pretty darn good for rear-projection models, too.

Vizio outsources their production to diverse small factories in Thailand and China. regardless of what anybody says approximately them, i'd decide directly to stay away if conceivable. Now you will additionally hear that Sanyo isn't an particularly stable form, and so as which you would be able to persist with Panasonic for plasma TVs. Sanyo replaced into surely presented out by Panasonic some 3 hundred and sixty 5 days or so in the previous. Panasonic makes plasma televisions presented below the Sanyo form, so as which you save some funds as against figuring out to purchase the call-form. i'd decide directly to propose the Sanyo. Plasma excels over liquid crystal show in photograph intense high quality, or perhaps however the extra constructive Sanyo does have decrease determination, bear in strategies that the activity makes a speciality of color and action extra constructive than it does on stunning element on the same time as watching video (television, video clips, and so forth.), the two themes that plasma excels at. additionally bear in strategies that cable, satellite tv for pc, and over-the-air broadcast are literally no longer available in 1080p (apart from an particularly limited form of on-call for instructions), and it particularly is continuously stunning to show content textile on the set's interior of sight determination.

I'm no expert, but when I looked at many of them in the store, the 42" Sony was head and shoulders over the other brands there. Not that I'm pushing Sony, but there really was a marked difference, which held true even after it was delivered here and running at the house. Hope this helps.

All LCD TVs have different positive and negative aspects to them. One might have a higher resolution and another may have better contrast. When I recently picked my TV, I looked to the reviews on CNET.com. It has a ton of television reviews and also will inform you on what to look for when you buy the TV. I bought a Spectre at Costco and couldn't be happier. Also, once you decide on which set to buy, check an on-line source such as techbargains.com for the cheapest price.

Happy buying!
