I am moving to Rio de Janeiro and I have received conflicting information regarding this question. Even on Yahoo answers I have seen a reply that said it would NOT work but then another person in another question states that they live in Brazil and it DOES work... Can someone who has moved from the US to Brazil please answer this? Thanks!

Your American TV set will not work because in Brazil they use a different system Pal M , in the States the programs are broadcast in NTSC. Also if you ship to Brazil you will need to pack it correctly , plus you will have the cost of shipping and you will have customs duty.

You would have to have an adapter to change their voltage to 60 cycles per second, as it is in the U.S.
