Hello,

I have a Celestial 34 inches TV. It is nearly 4 years old & was working perfectly fine until one day when I switched it on I found that the colours are a bit strange. It has virtually no colurs in the middle of screen & than a band of green, red, etc. as you look away from the centre of screen. Every thing else, sound, reception, etc is fine.

Has anyone else faced this problem? Is it picture tube problem & how expensive it will be to fix?

Thanks for your answers.

My grandfather recently purchased an HDTV and I am trying to determine which of the two satellite providers provides the best value for HD programming. I would like some opinions from people who have had experience with BOTH providers. Please do not reply with "I have Dish Network and I like it". Again, I would like opinions from those who understand the differences between Dish Network and DirecTV as it relates to their CURRENT HD packages. Please recommend one or the other and why. Thanks.

It only does this on one channel. It is another voice talking. "She walks across the room, and looks out the window" I can't focus on the tv when the commentary is there, but can't figure out a way to turn it off!

What is the difference between and HDtv monitor and hdtv, and can i watch normal cable programming on it? I dont plan on subscribing to digital cable because the tv will be mostly used for movie viewing, but i would like to be able to watch normal cable as well. It says on the best buy ad a seperate receiver is needed to receive digital content. But will this monitor still function as a normal tv with just a regular cable signal?

A friend of mine has a cable going to the other cables on the roof. The cable company did not cut anything. Can he just buy a box on ebay and receive basic cable channels?
I am just interested if that is technically feasible. Not if it is legal.

I didn't even notice when it happened. At first the images were lighter/grayer than normal. and next time i turned it on, there was no images but the audio is fine. i can't even see the volume or channels. no difference when i switch to tv/audio and turn on my dvd player. So now i am "listening" to cable and dvds. i assume it is the tv tube. is it worth repairing or just buying a new one?

Thanks for any insights or advice.

I bought a faulty tft monitor off ebay. it comes on ok then the screen goes really dark so you can't see anything, but if there's something really bright you can see a bit so know its still there. Took it to a guy in earlsheaton who couldn't fix it, says he changed components but its not fixed it. any ideas of any places in or around west yorkshire that will look at it for nothing, or should i just put it back on ebay?

We purchased a Daewoo 37" TFT LCD TV a few weeks ago (model DLP-37D1).

When a DVD is played on it the TV will stretch the image too much, this then makes the image blocky and a bit blurry. I've gone through all the screen size settings but to no avail.

Has anyone comes across this problem before? If so, how did you resolve it?

I won't be using a cable box, won't be using an antenna. I want to stick the cable from the wall into the back of the tv and it show the 70 or so channels my cable company offers as standard cable. Which term should I be looking for on the specs for a tv, NTSC or ATSC?

There is a problem with the main chip on this TV so it will only accept analogue/RGB signal. As soon as you plug anything into the SCART socket then the TV switches itself off!
Is this fixable?
