I live in Peterborough. It's a new installation. I live in a block of 24 flats with a communal Sky dish. I have had the problem since installation 10 days ago. I have Sky HD. All other channels are fine.

The manufactures user guide that comes with the new HR20-700S DVR is pretty weak. Does anyone know of a good website or document that outlines some of the advanced features of the DVR in an easy to read easy to use format?

I need a freeview recorder with hard drive storage and good audio connections to hook up to an amp, but all systems like this seem to cost £225 + . Are there any for £150-180?

I've recorded TV shows with my Pioneer DVR-533 and would like to transfer them to my computer to remove the intro, extro and commercials. I thought I would've been able to do this by burning them on a DVD-RW and dump them on the computer, but my computer keep saying "Please insert disk in drive" when I try to open the content of the DVD, although I can read the DVD from an application that plays DVDs.

I've tried both "VR Mode" and "Video Mode" (what's the difference anyway?!) and I get the same result.

For the rare client not "hooked" by pleasant conversation , Mrs. Tanak's shaving technique , with a straight-edged razor , is the showstopper.

We've got two Directv receivers, one in the living room and one in the computer room. I'd like to run another TV (kitchen) off the computer room receiver. I know this has to be fairly simple, I just am not sure how to go about it.

I understand I'll only be able to change the channel at the receiver (computer room)

A visual diagram to this would be very helpful. Thanks!

Is this a common problem or is there just something wrong with my DVR? Sometimes when I set something to record far in advance, they will just disappear from the "to-do" list and never record. Other times it works fine.
