Tivo. Trust me TIVO!! I have two of them. TIVO. I can not say this enough TIVO it is far superior to any dvr out there. It is just a wonderful easy to use user friendly model. It is easy to program and set up. It is just great. Go to tivo.com for a demo of it. Seriously TIVO. I had directv with tivo loved it. Moved had to get cable and got their dvr it was awful, I bought two stand alone tivo boxes and they are great.

Direct Tv Plus DVR. i have it and it works great. it records 2 shows at a time and it is better than Tivo because it is more than just basic cable. it comes with 300 channels and it is pretty cheap. 80 bucks or something

We have a tivo in the living room and my parents have a dvr in their room and i love the tivo! Couldn't live without it!
