My 18 year old son and I were goofing around with our tape recorder the other night and in between a conversation we were having we heard a distinct voive say.... MAAYYY_BEEE... Scared the bejesus out of us.. I have heard of evp's and even listened to some on the internet? Wish I could share it with all you beleivers out there... what to do next? thanks

You can convert it into digital recording and send it over the net. Someone should be able to easily analyse it for you, but do make sure its of high quality. Other than that, you can wait for more of such occurences by continually goofing around with the recorder when you have time. This will help substantiate it, you might actually have a ghost there. scary!

Once when I was a kid we got home from a long trip and were standing quietly in the living room when suddenly we heard a man's voice in the room. But there was no one there. For my sake she searched the whole house, but I knew it wasn't a real person. It wasn't the tv or radio either. She and I both heard the same thing. I wish we had gotten it on tape!
But I know that doesn't help you. Probably some of these paranormal researchers you see on the various tv shows would be willing to have you send in the tape and analyze it. Or maybe just refer you to someone. I would look for the Ghost Hunters website and look for a contact form. I would do a Google search on "Paranormal Investigations______" and fill in the blank with your town and state names. There are even some directories out there for researchers by state.

Interesting. Well, there are a lot of paranormal investigators that use that method during their investigations. What to do next, that's totally up to you. Personally I would put the tape recorder down and forget it every happened. I wouldn't want some ghost following me around in hopes I turn my tape recorder back one.
