Ok, for about a year now I have wanted a TiVo, but have had a hard time finding info, especially about model difference. I am finally about to get one, but have some last questions, even if you can't answer all of them please reply with what you know. Thanks for any help you can be and I will make sure to leave a "best answer"

- Is there any difference between TiVo 40 and 80 (Besides hours it can record)
- Is there a difference between the TiVo 80 white model (TCD540080) and the black model (TCD649080)
- can TiVo 40 record two shows at a time?
- With models that do record 2 at a time can you record both shows from basic cable?

How do I get both hooked up. MY TV has 1 annenat plug in and my modulator only has 2 plug in. I think wire goes from modulator to TV then 1 goes to dish bos but do I need a third one for vcr?? Pls explain ty

i have bought by Internet a DVD made in USA AND NOW i CAN´t watch anything... because USA is region1 and Brazil is 4... I have been given some tips and web pages to unblock the apparel, but it has been in vain, there doesn s seem to be a solution. Any ex-Tivo employees care to explain this to me. You can only cancel by phone. Once you tell them you want to cancel, they will transfer you and then put you on hold and never return. I tried 3 separate calls. This is crazy. I feel like this is AOL all over again. If you have experienced this please file better business bureau complaint. Very, very frustrating and deceptive.

Can someone give me advice on buying a DVD recorder? I'd like to start with an inexpensive but reliable brand. The one's I've seen so far (at Wal-Mart, K-Mart) are definitely in my price range, but are brands I've never heard of.

Also, are there certain features I should be sure the recorder has?

I'm looking to not only record programs from TV to DVD, but to also transfer movies from VHS to DVD. Any help appreciated.
