i have an LG DVD Recorder/Player, i am in Brazil..?

i have bought by Internet a DVD made in USA AND NOW i CAN´t watch anything... because USA is region1 and Brazil is 4... I have been given some tips and web pages to unblock the apparel, but it has been in vain, there doesn s seem to be a solution. Anybody knows if it is possible to solve this problem?? or i will remain without watching the DVD??
