You may have some problems, but I believe it can be done. The one problem that you are going to have is that you are going to have to use the phone dial up and not the etherlink to dial up. We tried it with the Series 2 and it didn't take with the HD TV. There should be two outputs, I think one is on the back, and there is usually one on the side of the TV that you can use to hook up so you can record and watch TV at the same time.

If you have two "satellite in" ports in the back of the receiver then you will be able to do that ( record while being able to watch another channel). Depends on the type of Tivo that you have too.
Basically you need two lines coming from the satellite dish that are going to be dedicated to that DVR. That is where the whole purpose lies on. The TV ports are not playing a role in the matter.

I trust Classics - if the cable field has an HDMI port - that is HD. many of the time the community stations are presented for loose so hook up an HDMI cable and flow to a HD station and see. yet ... what are you doing with a HDTV and known def provider? it really is stupid. improve now.
