When I recorded a program onto a blank disk. Can I upload it on to my computer and share it with people or scan some pictures of the program?

yes, but remember to finalise the disk first.
You should convert it to DIVX first.
there are lots of programs out there which do that. have a look at a torrent site to find them. One of the most popular ones is DR DIVX

If you are saying you recorded a programme on a DVD then you would have to finalise it to make it viewable on computers or other DVD players. You won't be able to take images off it as it will be in Video TS which is chapters of the programme, these you can show or pass on to friends.
