The postcode search says i have coverage(well 12 channels) for freeview. brand new freeview box. just had brand new digital ariel installed but seems i have no signal. what could be the reasons for my lack of freeview action??

i had the same problem it came down to 2 reasons
1, needed a new ariel (had it done no joy)
2, the transmitter is not in reach of your house
the man that did my ariel found ii needed a 40foot high ariel as i was just out of view of the transmitter it worked 3 doors down
as i live in the country i only have a relay transmitter and the nestest one to me is in wales i ended up paying for a skybox etc just for the free channels (best £100 ever spent) hope this helps

maybe the freeview box isnt compatible with your digital ariel. try it on another tv. if it wont work on another tv then maybe its faulty and you need to replace it

did they check the signal strength was ok when they fitted the new ariel?

Could be that your aerial may need upgrading.
