TiVO & DVRs

I copy music DVDs using Roxio 7.5 software. I have a Dell Demension E510 with Windows XP - Drives are DVD ROM & DVD R/RW. I have tried to copy using different brands of Blank Disks - DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-R DL, & DVD+R DL. Is the problem caused by Copy software, Quality of DVD Disks, or computer capability.
The computer plays the Copies OK.
Summary: (1.) DVD copies have hesitations when played on the Toshiba Player (2.) Player plays the original DVD OK (3.) I copy using Roxio 7.5 Software (4.) My computer has drives capable of recording DVD+-RW
& DVD+-R DL. What shoul I try next?

I seem to have a fault with my product SONY DVD Recorder RDR-GX120. If I record anything over the SP record mode setting (anything more than 2 hours) it wont record to disc. In particular it wont finalise, and once you have attempted to do so the disc becomes obsolete and un-recognisable. I have also tried various DVD's but no luck, yet they seem to work when recording on SP (2hours).

This week Comcast was giving away DVRs to customers. I went and picked one up and it was supposed to have a self-instillation guide. I even asked to make sure. When I got home there weren’t any instructions in the bag. There is a power cord, two white cords, and the remote. Where do I attach the cords?

I recently bought Dazzle DVD Recorder (and just for those who don't know) it's not a DVD recorder you plug into your TV. It is a USB device that you plug into your computer and you plug a VCR or camcorder up to it and record onto a DVD. I can get a connection (albeit a bad one) from my camcorder, but not from any VCR. So I am thinking it is £40 down the drain and I am really desperate for help. All connections and cables are OK, but there is no image from the video on my PC screen, which there should be. The help on the website barely exists, and that includes the forums, they suck. Can anyone help me? I am really desperate.

Ok, so I've got a 501 right now and I'm looking to upgrade. I just found out about this dual tuner 721-no additional fees! I like the sound of it, but I don't understand one thing. If there are two tuners, does that mean you need TWO seperate cables from the satelite to power the tuners? I already have three seperate receivers at my house-is there any easy way to "split" the signal, like a headphone can be split? And if so, could it be done cheaply and without the need to have a professional installation?

i have dish network and tivo..my tivo is supposed to record stuff from dish network channels. however, the guide for dish network is in sync with what is actually showing on tv, but my tivo's guide for the same channels is 3 hours ahead. how do i change the tivo guide to be in sync with what is actually showing on my dish network channel. this just started happening 4 weeks ago.....so i dunno. i have cable also and the tivo guide works good with that, and one of my dish network channels, but two of them are 3 hours off.
