Now I have purchased a long VGA cable so that I am able to watch the movies I have on my computer on my Tv. Also I am able to utilize my 5.1 pc speakers when doing this. My question is, would the quality be noticeably better If I were to use a long DVI cable as apposed to the Analog?

I am trying to use Tivo series 2 with my wireless router (DLink G54), which is WPA. Tivo tech says I need to call DLink and convert to WEP so that I can update my Tivo software to 8.0. (I tried to use the phone line for this, but it didn't work due to Comcast phone). WEP concerns me for 2 reasons: 1. it seems WPA is best based on other posts and 2. Will converting to WEP screw up my internet and phone use, since both use the wireless router? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Also, if add'l is helpful: I started with the Netgear wireless adptr for the Tivo but it didn't work even tho it was a Tivo appvd model, so Tivo sent me the Tivo brand adapter. This has been a treacherous process! I may just ditch the Tivo. I have Comcast DVR on our main tv, but thought Tivo would be good upstairs to access music etc from my computer. Thank you again for input!

Got tivo, still learning my way around it. Had a quick question...

So, I made up some wishlists, with shows I wanna see in the next few months!

Lets say, 3 shows are set to premiere the same time the same date. What will happen? Will it tell me or not?

I have the tivo that has 2

Don't laugh, but I almost purchased a portable DVD player yesterday. All of a sudden I'm getting picky about resolution and screen size.

My iPod and I are going through a very difficult relationship right now. We have disagreements with higher res file types, we have arguments over space (capacity), and we hardly see each another anymore because the damn screen is too small.

Lol
In any case,

Although it will be hard for me, I have to do what's best for me and ask these three questions: (3 Simple Questions)

1st
What are the 3 highest resolution video file formats for portable media players possible? Is ‘H264’ #1? (Archos’s new 605 device is off the chain)

2nd
Which software program can convert DVD’s to these 3 highest file types?

3rd
What is an estimate range of how big these files will be @ max (assuming it’s a 2.5 hour movie)?

I need some relationship advice yall, I need clarity and space!-lol
