I don't get what they mean by "for 4 months"...
The price seems okay, but they have that four months thing.
Does that mean that the price will get higher or so?
Any details or such would be appreciated!

Thanks,
LINDA :D

I was thinking about upgrading to a Direct tv satellite dish and was wanting some opinions. Are they worth the money? This website http://www.directtvsatellitedishesreview.com. has some information on them and they seem pretty good.

I sent my dvd-recorder to service as it is spoilt. Once it has been repaired, can i still use it to finalise my dvd-r?

I used this dvd-recorder to record tv shows using dvd-r, but I did not finalise them. I am worried that it cannot be finalise and the tv programs recorded in it will be wasted.

I have a TiVo that I purchased about 2 or 3 years ago. I used it when I had a satellite package through DirecTV. When I changed from Direct to Dish, the TiVo ended up on the floor in a closet because Dish supplied a leased DVR as part of their package.

Now I'm considering cancelling all satellite services completely and using only regular (non-pay) television channels. Will I be able to use my TiVo? Or do I need to have a satellite package to use it? (Of course I would read the TiVo booklet but I don't know where it is.)

it is the strangest thing -- an it is NOT the cable because we have a TV in another room not doing this. One, a few of the channels on this particular TV have lost their audio -- but it comes back. THEN to top it off, a couple of the channels go to Spanish (US shows) and you can't adjust it to English as it won't give you the option (I know how to do it and auto program, etc.) -- the strangest stuff.....

I want to record my shows at college, but I doubt the campus cable provider has them. I don't need anything fancy, just a few hours worth of recording for the show or two I watch.

... allows you to play a copied DVD on another player? I have an older VHS to DVD recorder, but the DVD's can't play in any other player but that one it was copied from. I want to avoid this. What brand VHS to DVD recorder should I buy so I'm able to playback in a different player.

There was a song that is absolutley NOT available anywhere in the world on CD (I don't know why because it is a well known and famous song (in the UK)). I recorded it from an official site (yes, legally and paid for!) onto my PC, then transfered it to the CD-R, but it doesn't play on my hi-fi. What have I done wrong?

(I know that it can work, because I know people have (illegally) recorded from the internet onto CD-R and then played it on their hi-fi)
