Where can i get a rewritable dvd with approx. 1000 minutes or about 37-40 GB?

Single layer (most common) DVD's can only hold 4.7GB of data while dual layer can hold 9.4GB and there is where this ends.

In order to burn large quantities of data, you would have to go with a Blu-ray or HD-DVD burner which can hold up to 50GB on Blu-ray and the same for HD-DVD.

sorry, there is no such a thing

Even write-once HD-DVDs are about 30 GBs.

At that capacity, it is better to get a mini personal hard drive.
