Directv? Boxes?

Question

Was thinking of buying to more boxes from bestbuy...which cost 69 dlls..my question is do they come with the cards?

I have subscripiton with them...i already have 4 boxes but want 2 more...can i hook up 2 more boxes to the satellite that i have ..its the oval one that they give u with the 4 satellites.

If you are an existing customer with DirecTv don't waste money at Bestbuy,just call DirecTv customer service and tell them you want to add another receiver or two to your account.They will also give you free installation when you upgrade.Getting a basic receiver from DirecTv only costs $49 so why give Bestbuy the extra$20?Also if you have been a long time customer they may GIVE you an additional box for free or even a DVR if you talk to the right person.The oval dish has 4 outputs that can be connected to a multi-switch that gives you eight outputs so using your dish would be fine unless you decide to go with HD in which case they would give you a new 5LNB dish also.

I don't know if you can hook up four to a single dish, but you may want to call them about that. I think that you do need to pay a fee to add new receivers. It may be a one time only activation fee or monthly. Call 1-800-DIRECTV and ask.

A new subscription probably must be activated to make them work at all.
