you have to call dish network and they will send you a box to put the reciever in also there is a small part in the dish that you have to remove and place in the box they sent you and you have to send back the remote control then ups will come to your house and pick it up. dish net work will charge you $99.00 if they come to your house to pick up the equipment. you do not send back the whole dish just a small part that is in the center of the dish. the dish stays mounted on your roof

Yes, dish network asks you to leave the dish and send the small part. I told them I could not climb onto the roof and they said that was ok. So all I sent to them by UPS were the items within the house. But speak with them first and ensure that you let them know it's too much trouble to go onto yr roof.

You can request dish to come out and deinstall your system, however they usually charge for this service. Or, they will send you boxes for the return of the receivers and the lnb.
