I copy music DVDs using Roxio 7.5 software. I have a Dell Demension E510 with Windows XP - Drives are DVD ROM & DVD R/RW. I have tried to copy using different brands of Blank Disks - DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-R DL, & DVD+R DL. Is the problem caused by Copy software, Quality of DVD Disks, or computer capability.
The computer plays the Copies OK.
Summary: (1.) DVD copies have hesitations when played on the Toshiba Player (2.) Player plays the original DVD OK (3.) I copy using Roxio 7.5 Software (4.) My computer has drives capable of recording DVD+-RW
& DVD+-R DL. What shoul I try next?

Try using DVDshrink.

Of course you should only make backup copies of your own DVDs, not ones you haven't purchased- that would be piracy and is illegal, immoral, and causes hair loss.

You may need to burn your DVD copies at 1x or 2x--very slow speeds, to optimize the burning process. This will take a long time, and you shouldn't touch your computer or expose it to vibrations while it's burning the disc. Try starting a burn before you go to bed, and check it in the morning.

They do make units to scrub DVD/CD drives, yet many times they simply make a pathetic attempt to sweep dirt from the laser lens. that's probable time to take it to a keep and have it serviced. they are able to provide help to realize merely what's incorrect with it and how plenty it is going to cost to repair it.
