It gets hot very easily. This is for a Dell laptop. I can't leave it unplugged for long, as the battery life is only 4 hrs. And without this computer being on, no other computer in my house has a connection to the internet. And believe me, no one would appreciate me telling them what time they can get online, cause we have alot of projects we do for school, work, and our church. I really don't have the time or patience to rework our network. It was hard enough getting a computer with XP networked to one with Vista, as the instructions for doing that were pretty vague. So my question is, is there anything that wouldnt be harmful to the cord or equipment that I can do to keep it from getting overheated? Or are their new adapters I can purchase that do not get hot so easily? This is the one that originally came with this laptop. Thanks!
There have not been any ill effects from the adapter getting hot so far, this is just as a precaution
