I bought cds a while ago a pack of 50 and almost everyone of the cds where duds or so at least i thought. So when i went to the store the other day i asked the guy in electronics if he knew which brand of cds where better cause i kept on getting duds and he said the brand i had been buying where good. He said that it might be because i was buying the wronge ones. I was buying cd-r. So my question is how can i tell which cds i can use on my computer remember im buying blank cds to burn songs onto. Please help i just bought another pack which happens to be cd-r and i havent opened them because if they are the wronge ones i want to return them.

Does anyone have any experience traveling with their XM radios overseas? I heard some people say XM might work a few hours a day depending if the satellites happen to fly to a spot that is line-of-site to Asia, but because it is always in motion concentrating in US-coverage, it may only last a couple hours or so. Anyone here ever personally tried this?

When your car engine is running and you plug a GPS or such into your cigarette lighter or adapter does the power run directly off of your car battery? I know that happens when your car engine is not running, the power comes from your battery, but I always thought that when your car engine is running, everything runs off the power your engine generates.

However this past week on Clark Howard I he said he was wondering why he would always buy the better car batteries, and they would only last less than a year. He said he had his car checked and everything was fine. So they told him that everything he plugs into his adapters (GPS, Ipod, etc.) is what is running his battery down as even when the car running they pull power from the car battery, NOT the engine. So he went and got a portable battery pack that he uses instead of plugging everything in.

So is he right?
