I bought cds a while ago a pack of 50 and almost everyone of the cds where duds or so at least i thought. So when i went to the store the other day i asked the guy in electronics if he knew which brand of cds where better cause i kept on getting duds and he said the brand i had been buying where good. He said that it might be because i was buying the wronge ones. I was buying cd-r. So my question is how can i tell which cds i can use on my computer remember im buying blank cds to burn songs onto. Please help i just bought another pack which happens to be cd-r and i havent opened them because if they are the wronge ones i want to return them.

Ummm ... there is no such thing as a CD+r. All writeable CD's are just CD-R's. Now there are CD-RW which are re-writeable CD's ( you can erase and use again). But as they are more expensive I'd stick to CD-r's. If you are having trouble burning, you might check the burn speed and if you have set it high I'd try a lower speed. Also, make sure you are NOT running any other programs while trying to burn your CD.

All Cd Writers that were manufactured in the last 5 years or so are capable of burning both CD-R and CD+R. In fact, if I think well, the "compatible-incompatible" issue is sooo old, I can't remember exactly what was the big difference between them...

...or were you talking about DVD+/-R? Best thing to do is search for information about the exact model of your burner and see what can it write.

Later Edit: My bad, there is no such thing as CD+R...

If u get while u write 0.5 or something to the dvd-rw???? each and every each and every now and then writing section with the aid of section supplies issues. rather write finished dvd & finalise disc. U may additionally truy CDBURNERXP, its loose & person-friendly. because of the fact ur applying dvd-rw, do an entire or rapid erase & write disc at as quickly as & finalise it. Why u use dvd-rw, use dvd-r, they r much less high priced & supplies no situation.
