I am a traffic control person, and we are having difficulty stopping our hand fellers, is there any good method or electronic device that works in one go, anything at all, im mechanicaly inclined but am stumped, since i am not a feller, dont be scared to get technical

i didnt think i had to guide u sheep to connect the dots, this is a waste of time....obviosly the chainsaw is very loud, and trying to stop a hand faller with a common radio is very difficult....Obviosly...very difficult...yes..

sry, u must be amerikan, my appoligies, i work in the forestry feild... but sadly, there is no category for work, and work related questions, i am canadian, lotsa trees here, everyones got a chainsaw, once again, sry.

You didn't say if this whole affair needed to be portable, but generally portable devices aren't going to have enough audio power to overcome much distance or ambient noise.

There are very simple devices called "waveform generators" or you may even be able to search for a "tone generator" device with an output. You then connect the output of one of these to an audio amplifier - say a car amplifier if you are going to be mounting this to a car. Then connect the car amplifier to a large PA type speaker. You would then be able to create VERY loud sounds to get the attention of everyone within a very large distance.

If you get enough audio energy, the people you are trying to notify wouldn't even have to hear the sound (think ear plugs) - they would be able to FEEL the sound. This kind of volume would probably take at least 100W of audio power.
