I am interested in a tiny GPS-based tracking device for my 3 year old. It must be removable (not implanted) and I am NOT interested in the short-range alarms. It has to be small enough so it will not be noticed by any pervert who attempts to take my boy. Does such a thing exist?

is there such a big difference in the two? i am a serious music fan of some obscure bands, and have strong music likes and dislikes. i have a relatively short commute to work, but commercials and crappy music drive me crazy, as i wind up channel surfing all the time, which can be unsafe. any thoughts?

I have a 2.5 year old Panasonic DVD/VHS player combo. About a year ago, my DVDs started stopping and/or skipping. I bought a cleaner kit that is just a disk with little brushes. This worked for a time. It stopped working last week. I took my DVD player cover off and cleaned the optical lens with alcohol on a Qtip. Also cleaned the rubber disk that DVD turns on. Played first 10 minutes of the same DVD that had been stopping, and it played perfectly, then came to a stop again. Did I miss something with this cleaning? Is there a link that would show me step-by-step what I should do? Thanks!

I had it set up yesterday, but today the blue screen won't come on the TV. I connected cable to Out Video on VCR and to Ant. on TV yesterday. The manual says use cable with video, R audio, and L audio which I borrowed from DVD and connected up to Out Video, R Audio and L Audio on VCR to In Video, R Audio, and L Audio on TV. Nothing happened when I set both to channel 3. I watched VCR tapes yesterday; today nothing. How could it work yesterday and not today?

Over the last few days I've had a couple of missed calls on my mobile (cell) from a landline number I don't recognise. I tried to call it back this evening and the automatic phone company lady said something along the lines of please check the number, the one you are calling is not recognised, I'm certain I dialed right, I checked and redialed, the same thing happened. Very odd. What do you think this is?

I am thinking about getting a DivX certified DVD player which should play DivX files. There are two main types out there: DivX and XviD. I was reading some site on the web and it mentioned that XviD can be played in DivX certified players but there may be some problem or something like that... Some players do show both DivX and XviD compatible sign, but there are very few that I've seen states that. So I am thinking, maybe those with just DivX may not play XviD files...

Has anyone played XviD movie files in DivX certified players?
Any problems? Issues? Which DivX player (brand and model number) did you use to play them?

I read that some electrical equipment like TV or DVD Players will still draw electricity even when you switch them off and that you should un-plug it to save electric consumption. Will it still draw electricity even when you switch off the main wall power outlet too? Do you have any sites that list such equipment?
