Take for instance a typical cell phone battery, or iPod internal battery...Would charging it when it is already full (for every night/every other night) shorten the battery's life or weaken it in any way?

Can you overcharge rechargeable batteries? I use a recharger for electronics like my computer mouse, etc. so when the batteries die, I swap them out with the batteries in the charger. But, it only takes a few hours for the dead batteries to charge, and weeks for the charged batteries to die. So, I am leaving fully charged batteries in the charger for several weeks before changing them out. Is this okay, and if not, will they lose their charge if they are taken out of the charger but not used for several weeks?

Does anyone know how I can convert an 8 mm Video Cassette to DVD? My mother took video of my son back in 1993...and I would love for him to see them today but I don't have a clue how to do this. I am very computer literal...so I know someone out there can walk me through these steps.

I have a Sony camcorder and a DVD burner...so my question is...can it be done?

Thanks.

The cones(actual cones) are busted. I'm not going to be my usual smart-aleck self, and say the product got discontinued after 18 months. Oh,
wait I just did. I am a stereo dinosaur, even though
I had Rex Stores eliminated from my local economy. I used lobby-embargo-business-idiot castration techniques.'''

A close friend of mine has a Radio Shack DR-83 voice recorder which has been acting up lately. It finally spasmed severely and completely reset, deleting the date and all of the stored files, some of which had great sentimental value. The unit records on a chip but does not have a USB port for a PC to connect to. The internal OS shows the unit to be empty - no files. Does anyone out there know of any way to recover these files, like maybe removing the RAM chip and jury-rigging a connection to a PC, or something similar? She's willing to spend a bit on this if it's possible.
