I have Comcast Cable, but i'm seriously thinking about getting Dish Network or Direct TV. I was wondering what the advantages and disadvantages were? If you have a Dish, do you like having it, or would you rather have regular cable? Do you have a DVR Recorder where you can record your shows like a VCR type thing? Thanks!

The two end of this wire get plugged in to two inputs in the computer where one is audio and the other is microphone. This is used to record any sound without having to put a microphone in front of the speaker.
Can anyone please tell me what this device is called?

I am looking for a specific model of Sony recorder, I remember what it looks like, but not the model number. It was made in the 70's, and it used 5" reels and was AC/DC powered.

I thought about using tape to cover the hole but worried the tape might come off and go in the video player. Dont worry these are not copyright tapes they are home movies which for some reason have been copy protected after they were made.

My mother has a business, I was told to setup an answering machine for times when the business is closed. I would like to know what the device would be called as well. Please refrain from telling me to use an answering machine and pull the tape out or delete messages or to pause for several seconds after the recording for when the answering machine picks up. Thank you.

I asked this question before, but I am re-wording it. I have a Jensen VM9021TS DVD/CD/TV/FM/AM/XM/Etc. Radio in my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The TV antenna is 2 small wires that stick near the top of the windshield inside the car. I was thinking of replacing the antenna with possibly something like a CB antenna if that works. It has a coax input for the television. I want to replace it with a CB antenna if the frequency/bandwidth will work with a television. Anyone know if this will work or have tried it?

We have an application that when it executes stock it was written to play a wave file.
Now for a hearing impaired person we need it to light an LED instead. Know of anything?
I am thinking along the lines of a Mini-RCA jack (output of PC Sound) to an LED converter.
Anything on your site that I might be able to purchase? I would really appreciate any advise.

Was present during electrical testing of portable appliances last week. When the switch on the box was flicked, I felt a terrible electric surge through my body although I was standing about a foot away from the apparatus & not touching the bench the machine was on. It was truely awful - felt as if I was being pulled into the ground plus the pain of the shock. My left hand went numb & my arm was painful for a further 12 hours. I had to go to hospital as I have an internal defibrillator implanted for my heart but thankfully, this was not damaged. However, no one is able to explain to me what could have happened. It was a scary & nasty experience & I'd feel better to know what occurred. Any thoughts from you electrical guys appreciated. Thanks.

I recently got a new washer and it's tripping the circuit breaker and smelling like its burning sometimes. I had an electrion out to check the electrical and said everything is fine...that it's running 116 volts, which is what it should be running.... so does this mean it's the washer?
