The player below is HD ready and region free. Please note that it UPCONVERTS an ordinary DVD movie (480P) to HD signals (720P/1080i). That means, the DVD disk itself does not have a high def signal native to it.

Now, if you are after a real HIGH DEFINITION DVD (multiregion) unit, you should get an HD-DVD player (any brand). You see, the HD-DVD Disks are region free. However, it only plays Region 0 and 1 for standard DVDs. Like the OPPO unit above, the HD-DVD players upconverts standard DVDs to HD too.

Check out one below:

Your other High Def option is to get a Blu-Ray DVD player. However, their disks have regions.

If you have an Xbox 360 get the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player. Its region free and has a great line-up.
And if you dont have an Xbox 360 I suggest you get one!
The best place to get it would be http://www.play.com or http://www.amazon.co.uk
